This is an example of misunderstanding:
This young girl on a touring trip visits a ranch in Texas, she speaks good english with a slight european accent.
The lady meets the owner and ask him ; " Are the calves as horny as the bulls"
The texan ranch owner - " ????????"
OK, clear ; She was talking about ' longhorns' but it took some explanation.
The English-English dictionary is a must.

Yes, 'horny' does indeed have a different meaning in the US version of English.
